Jensen is probably the most Jobs-like CEO left in the industry, in that he has a completely monomaniacal focus on producing and selling more GPUs no matter what. Things which are not relevant to that goal, such as knowing where you live, are discarded to fit more GPU sales ideas in his brain.

Don’t really see how the US credibly deters a PRC attack on Taiwan after a second Trump term. Less than two years in and our military and diplomatic power are already hollowed out. We need to start thinking about alternatives, i.e. how to accommodate Chinese positions while minimizing the harm

Seems clear to me that Woke I was behind the relationship breakdown between City Councils and Police Departments which fed the post-COVID spike in crime and public disorder. That moment also broke the political compact that was fueling the successful state level CJ reform movement.

Just recalling this passage from the National Security Strategy (Nov 2025)
But the days in which the Middle East dominated American foreign policy in both long-term planning and day-to-day execution are thankfully over—not because the Middle East no longer matters, but because it is no longer the constant irritant, and potential source of imminent catastrophe, that it once was. It is rather emerging as a place of partnership, friendship, and investment—a trend that should be welcomed and encouraged. In fact, President Trump's ability to unite the Arab world at Sharm el-Sheikh in pursuit of peace and normalization will allow the United States to finally prioritize American interests.

My hottest Bluesky take is being pro (contingent on it being in public areas) panopticon, particularly with cars. The safety benefits are real. But Flock being used for ICE stuff when the city paying for the equipment hasn’t agreed to that is a legit objection to the firm.

Flock cameras are mostly good and the panic is mostly social media driven. They help police catch people with outstanding warrants and find stolen cars. I would like the government to be effective at reducing crime!

There is a low supply/high demand for credentialed legal academics that can reverse engineer arguments for right-wing populist policies. Wurman is exploiting that gap to advance his career. Similarly, over the past 20 years, many budding originalists did the same!

Most of us would struggle to imagine a world in which U.S. soldiers, police officers, Border Patrol agents and elected leaders could be dragged before an international court, tried by judges from random countries across the globe, found guilty under international laws we neither consent to nor control, and then imprisoned thousands of miles from America.
