Everybody might be obsessed with transfers and new faces, but Arsenal have three old-new attackers who barely peaked last season and almost never start together. That should terrify everybody else. Piece from the Emirates. inews.co.uk/sport/footba...

One stat that should terrify Arsenal's title rivals
Suffocating opening night win over Coventry showed that Arsenal might not even need to improve to defend their Premier League crown

Quansah getting a 2 game ban when Flo Balogun's suspension was overturned is absurd. Again, not a criticism of Balogun, but it highlights the sheer corruption of that decision.

I became an Arsenal fan in 1979, because of my beloved Liam Brady, and have been ever since. You don't have be born within 100 yards of Highbury Fields to be a true Gooner, just as you can be a true Liverpool or Man United fan and be born in Boston or Accra or Kuala Lumpur. This annoys some people.

All that said, there’s a difference between Arsenal’s football this season and last night This PSG are like Barca 2008-11. They have shredded everyone in big CL games - Arsenal’s gameplan made sense and they stopped them like no one has bsky.app/profile/migu...

To the last Arsenal were themselves. And they were brilliant. The goal here is not to enrapture neutrals but to win football matches. They came so close to the perfect defensive game. It would have been a worthy way to win.

This Arsenal side has come a long, long way. Yet in our current guise we still aren’t ready to go toe to toe with PSG, so the game plan was sound. Never felt PSG would score in open play. Defended superbly. Fine margins just didn’t go Arsenal’s way. Stronger next year 💪🏼

Think we have so much to be proud of and more importantly - excited for - with this group. Fell short tonight against a top side and there are areas for improvement, but the commitment and fight is always a great baseline. Let’s celebrate tomorrow. We’ll be back for the Champions League. 🏆

Defending is part of football. Spurs scored plenty against Atletico and still got embarrassed because they couldn't. Set pieces are part of football, as you kept reminding us in the latter Wenger years. Premier League champions, double finalists. CL trajectory? QF. SF. Final. Next year...

Yes but Rwanda. Yes but Emirates. yes but Kroenke. All of which/whom I've been writing/speaking about for years, and will carry on doing. But I'd have thought that, even in the moral quagmire that is club ownership in 2026, a sense of proportion could prevail. Judging by some replies, clearly not.

Absolutely devastated. Those boys gave everything and deserved more tonight - we’ll be back for this one. Fair play to PSG who did well to change the game at half time, by adding a few more zeros into the referee’s bank account. He drank all the petro-dollar Kool-Aid.

That's a penalty most of the time. It probably doesn't get overturned because Madueke wrapped his arm, but if it was given it would certainly stay. That's usually given and I think we're really unlucky there. Rice being booked for talking to the ref as captain is the cherry.

On a serious note, cool that the two players who took the most stick for us not winning the league in 23/24 (Trossard & Havertz) because of that one Villa match, ended up scoring the last winners to get us this title.
