Which particular position do you feel lacking? I think we all agreed LW looked weak before the season started, but now I feel a centre-forward wouldn't have gone amiss.

Is there precedent in the other Big Five leagues for titles to be stripped and given to second place teams?

I've heard a certain bald Dutchman is available. No, not Erik Ten Hag

Yeah, far be it from me to sympathise with United but that is a ridiculous decision. Enzo clearly attempted to touch the ball. That's much more involvement than has been penalised before.

If you want to "stamp out" grappling, you can't do it when the attacker is pulling his marker just as much as the marker is. That would just lead to half a dozen penalties every game, except it won't because you'll see scarcely any similar incidents.

Everybody might be obsessed with transfers and new faces, but Arsenal have three old-new attackers who barely peaked last season and almost never start together. That should terrify everybody else. Piece from the Emirates. inews.co.uk/sport/footba...

One stat that should terrify Arsenal's title rivals
Suffocating opening night win over Coventry showed that Arsenal might not even need to improve to defend their Premier League crown

If you are referring to the incident with Jorginho, it was clearly a case of Jorgi bashing his head into Bruno's arm. He is lucky he didn't give him a fracture.

Yeah, I can quite live without internet on airplanes provided by one of the worst humans, especially considering Starlink isn't exactly without its problems, to say the least: signal and sky pollution for astronomers, capability of usage in warfare, surveillance, increaed space debris, etc.

Quansah getting a 2 game ban when Flo Balogun's suspension was overturned is absurd. Again, not a criticism of Balogun, but it highlights the sheer corruption of that decision.

I became an Arsenal fan in 1979, because of my beloved Liam Brady, and have been ever since. You don't have be born within 100 yards of Highbury Fields to be a true Gooner, just as you can be a true Liverpool or Man United fan and be born in Boston or Accra or Kuala Lumpur. This annoys some people.

All that said, there’s a difference between Arsenal’s football this season and last night This PSG are like Barca 2008-11. They have shredded everyone in big CL games - Arsenal’s gameplan made sense and they stopped them like no one has bsky.app/profile/migu...

There were a few good moments: - Marquinhos hugging Gabriel - Rice smiling - PSG player hitting Havertz with a baguette and the ref giving PSG a free kick for that, with Qatari dinar notes hanging out of his pockets

To the last Arsenal were themselves. And they were brilliant. The goal here is not to enrapture neutrals but to win football matches. They came so close to the perfect defensive game. It would have been a worthy way to win.

This Arsenal side has come a long, long way. Yet in our current guise we still aren’t ready to go toe to toe with PSG, so the game plan was sound. Never felt PSG would score in open play. Defended superbly. Fine margins just didn’t go Arsenal’s way. Stronger next year 💪🏼

Think we have so much to be proud of and more importantly - excited for - with this group. Fell short tonight against a top side and there are areas for improvement, but the commitment and fight is always a great baseline. Let’s celebrate tomorrow. We’ll be back for the Champions League. 🏆

Seconded. Philippe and the other fantastic writers at Josimar have been a small ray of hope in a sport spiralling deeper into filth. As far as I'm concerned there is no more football between now and August.

Defending is part of football. Spurs scored plenty against Atletico and still got embarrassed because they couldn't. Set pieces are part of football, as you kept reminding us in the latter Wenger years. Premier League champions, double finalists. CL trajectory? QF. SF. Final. Next year...

Absolutely devastated. Those boys gave everything and deserved more tonight - we’ll be back for this one. Fair play to PSG who did well to change the game at half time, by adding a few more zeros into the referee’s bank account. He drank all the petro-dollar Kool-Aid.

That's a penalty most of the time. It probably doesn't get overturned because Madueke wrapped his arm, but if it was given it would certainly stay. That's usually given and I think we're really unlucky there. Rice being booked for talking to the ref as captain is the cherry.
