My stag print (and more!) arrived from @prayforpatrick.bsky.social today. Lovely to come home to a bit of unwrapping of a present for myself after a bit of a day at work. Bit spoiled by the extras too 😍
A framed linocut picture of a stag in black and cream, in a black frame with a cream border. A smaller print of an old Irish stamp in gold on black sits on top of the larger picrure, and there are two small cards. The background is cardboard packaging

And in disciplines like mine—geology—that means doing fieldwork, making measurements, collecting samples for lab work, photographing and sketching. AI can't do that. Yet, many geo departments are scaling back field training requirements for a range of reasons (cost, liability, "the future is AI"). ⚒️

Sketch of Medb washing. A wedge of cheese is about to hit her head. Text reads:

A Bitteen Of Irish Folklore
Medb might have been formidable, but she wasn’t immortal. While bathing in Inis Cloithrinn, she was struck by a piece of cheese slung by Furbaide Ferbend to avenge his own mother and immediately killed, making it the most fatal case of lactose intolerance in Irish mythology
