Postdoctoral Position (80%)
at the Cognitive Psychology Unit, Department of Psychology, University of Zurich. The ideal
start date would be January 1st, 2026 but could be somewhat earlier or later. The position is for
initially 3 years, with possible renewal for another 1.5 years.
The successful applicant will work with the head of the Cognitive Psychology Unit, Prof. Dr. Klaus
Oberauer, and the Cognitive Psychology team. The post involves research and teaching (one course
per semester).
Research at the Zurich Cognitive Psychology Unit focuses on capacity limits of cognition, in particular
working memory, long-term memory, and attention, which we investigate with experimental,
individual-differences and aging studies and computational modeling. For further information see:

Almost 8 months since my Mom died suddenly. I’m discovering that grief shifts shape and finds new forms that hurt in new ways. I don’t post much these days. So much feels trivial in comparison to the grief. One day I’ll feel like a person again. I hope the world hasn’t burned by then.

As an NIH postdoc, led the development of an app for symptom monitoring that patients with cancer can use during treatment to identify changes early. Still undergoing usability testing and not publicly available. But pretty cool :)

I was invited to give a keynote at my university’s Psi Chi induction ceremony so I dug up a photo of my first poster presentation - MPA 2013 with Psi Chi’s support - and the pin I got at graduation. I was just a baby!! Time flies. I think young me would be excited to see how far I’ve come.
