It’s amazing what Brian and OSF have done for science. I can imagine how hard the folks at COS must’ve worked to avoid this outcome. I’m extremely grateful to them for creating the reality we live in now. The fact that we’ll miss these services so acutely is a testament to how much they shaped us.

At #wcri2026, @brandonstell.bsky.social makes the point that the “happy face” version of PubPeer didn’t really take off, but that makes sense bc authors of journal articles already hype their work to the max, so there’s often only one direction post publication comments can go, realistically (down).

Yep. This angle shows that what Bovino said — and what Trump, Miller, and DHS wrote —are lies. They’ve again murdered someone trying to help neighbors, and are again slandering that person. Not to cover anything up, but to project their power and impunity. To suppress dissent, and to set an example.

Fig. 3. Effects of the intervention. In (a) are shown effects 7 months after the intervention; in (b) are shown interaction effects 7 months after the intervention. Models show the effects of the intervention on expressive-language skills in the grade 1 posttest, with an interaction between expressive-language skills in the pretest and after the intervention. Standardized coefficients (with 95% confidence intervals) are shown, except for the intervention dummy variable and the interaction where y-standardized values are indicated. Rectangles and circles contain observed variables and latent variables, respectively. Solid arrows point to significant regression or factor loadings (arrows from latent variables to their observed indicators); the arrow with dotted lines shows nonsignificant regression.
