The real problem with modern Doctor Who is that it’s not written by total fucking freaks. To write it in the 1960s you had to be obsessed with alchemy or believe Theudebert I was descended from Jesus; now they just want you to know how to write for TV, which was notably *not* a requirement in 1968.

a screenshot from episode 38 of the Digimon Adventure anime reboot that came out in 2020.

it shows the character Gabumon being crucified. this is after he is kidnapped by Mephistomon, a fallen angel digimon, & then ritualistically sacrificed to try and resurrect an ancient evil god digimon named Milleniumon.

this was in the cartoon. they showed this to children.

Los Kao Kao Cola Cao 2001-2006 These funky aliens, each embodying ingredients or vitamins, encountered the Spanish chocolate drink while on Earth and used the energy it gave them to fuel their ship. When the Kao Kao's popularity waned, Cola Cao reverted back to using athletes as brand ambassadors.

The Kao Kao:
- K (cocoa), a brown, toad-like alien in a red vest
- Ferki (iron), a lanky purple alien with yellow hair and an elephantine trunk, wearing an orange tank top, orange shorts and large white trainers with yellow highlights
- Kalz (calcium), a pink femme alien wearing a dress identically coloured to her skin and a long, worm-like head tail representing hair
- Zerelk (cereal), a round, greenish-yellow flying alien resembling a frog
- Fosfik (phosphorus), a short grey alien wearing green visors and waist-high trousers
- Akinha (vitamins), a hovering, dot-eyed, unibrowed, yellow humanoid alien in a blue dress, wearing her black hair in a large double bun and a tail braid that touches the floor

I told my grandma Phil Spencer retired and she started sobbing. Through the cascade of tears rolling down her face and hyperventilating she muttered “Co-Pilot please draft an email thanking Phil for his brave service in the console wars” She then died. Her ashes sprinkled at a data center nearby

Walkers monsters Monster Munch 1995-2008 When Pepsi transferred Smith's snack brands to burgeoning crisp empire Walkers, a new team of Monster Munch monsters replaced the Smith's monsters until their return in 2008. In ads for the short-lived Snackshack range, they shared a mansion in Walkersville.

- the blue monster (Spaghetti Sauce, later turned yellow for the Cheesy flavour), a furry creature with a large mouth and an inverted head

Digger the Dermatophyte Lamisil 2003-2011 An anthropomorphised toenail fungus animated by WildBrain whose domestic run was brief but whose impact was strong, with his debut commercial's graphic portrayal of onychomycosis. He was repurposed in the UK for foot clinic Stepwise as Freddy the Fungus.

Digger - a yellow, purple spotted gremlin-type creature with a villainous demeanour, sporting pointy ears, orange eyes, purple lips, a single tooth, claws on his fingers and toes, a long tail, and a pair of ginger hairs on various parts of his body - resting on a couple of infected toes
