We've probably learned more about American politics from the ANES than any other single data source. The same is true for the GSS and sociology. Both of these are gone if Congress acquiesces to these NSF cuts.

all cyclists should wear helmets. generally i don't think helmets should be mandatory, but it's not worth caring about if it's only cited as a secondary offense. the benefit from a single bike trip replacing a car trip probably outweighs the micromorts from not wearing a helmet.
