Unfortunately the reality is that cops have a history of killing people by dropping them off in inhospitable places. In Canada it’s called a “starlight tour” when cops detain an Indigenous person and then drop them off miles from home in the wilderness, sometimes causing them to freeze to death

Booker Ngesa Omole has reportedly been kidnapped by state forces in Kenya. This was not a lawful arrest with due process. According to public statements from the Communist Party Marxist Kenya, he was abducted, severely beaten, tortured, and then dumped at Mlolongo Police Station, a facility long feared by poor and politically active communities and associated with extrajudicial violence. His injuries reportedly include a broken tooth and a deep cut to his finger. His phone signal was traced to the station. If these reports are accurate, this represents a grave violation of human rights and an escalation of repression against organized political opposition and the working-class movement.

Here's what we can do: Demand proof of life, immediate medical care, and full legal access. Demand transparency about the circumstances of his detention and accountability for any abuse. I’ve come to realize people think slurs are just words that hurt our feelings. No. Slurs, particularly the N-word, F-word, antisemitic terms etc. aren’t taboo because of that.
