Think the difference between that speech and anything Starmer offered is that there is a very clear direction of where he wants to go and what he wants the country to be, which has been pretty absent from politics for a long time (and is absent from other party platforms, tho not election season)

The “ring 999” thing hits the point so well. Hospital generally the worst place for someone with dementia, but no other option in so many cases. My nan cares for my grandad who is 6 years into a dementia diagnosis, and she does absolutely everything she can to keep him out of hospital

Like she is repeatedly wrong on oil, she’s wrong on net zero, she’s wrong on prison early release. She says anything she thinks will get her a good sound bite (ofc she’s leader of the opposition that’s her main aim) but she definitely knows a good deal of what she comes out with is garbage
