Yeah that's a stupidly expensive Rolls-Royce, too. Gotta protect that tire from damage by... um... putting something chock full of hydraulic fluid right in front of it. And have zero visibility!

Tell me you don’t understand what art and music are without telling me that you don’t understand what art and music are. What a bleak future to imagine.

Updated information shows PPB killed the man and the dog. Absolutely shameful how some media talked about this man’s life like it was an afterthought, and unquestioningly put out copaganda.

Gobsmacked by the elite levels of not knowing ball in the Senate today, thinking an NBA team is called the Hawkeyes then, refusing to Google it, then accusing a guy of treason because you didn’t know the Iowa Lady Hawkeyes aren’t in the NBA. Somehow I don’t trust these people to Save Girls Sports.

The manual for this one did a lot of narrative lifting, too. The whole history of Hiigara, the various clans, discussion of tactics, etc. The last one I can think of that even came close for me was Pikmin, with all the size comparisons to various objects.

We're screening HIGHLANDER for free at 7pm at the Ojai Playhouse tomorrow night in honor of my dad, one of the original film's co-writers. I have no sense of whether any Bluesky people are actually In My Area, but you're invited! ojaiplayhouse.com/event/highla...
A poster showing deep blue and black art from the 40th anniversary release of Highlander. Text reads "Free screening in memory of Peter Bellwood: Highlander, Ojai Playhouse, Tuesday, 9/29, 7pm. Reserve seats at ojaiplayhouse.com"A film photograph of a cinema marquee showing Bronson Murphy's Law, Walt Disney Cinderella, and Highlander: there can be only one. On the sidewalk in front of the cinema, Peter Bellwood leans against a lamppost. He has a shock of white hair and looks uncharacteristically cool.

The NY Times is hot on the trail of whichever guy did this.
Tim Robinson wears a hot dog costume in a wrecked clothing store and exclaims, "We're all trying to find the guy who did this." He did the thing. He is that guy. He did it.

This is what the New York Times sounds like.

Watching #MST3K forever-a-thon and it's currently DEVIL FISH. It feels like it was made a bit earlier than 1984, but that could be the pull-tabs on the cans. I forget they persisted until 1983. Love this riff: "It looks like that thing that comes out of the Wizard of Id's cauldron."

I've been turning this over in my head most of the afternoon and it explains why everyone is mad about some forgettable song, iced beverages, or how you should park a car. Easier than contemplating the obscenity that is this administration, their policies, the war on the environment, etc etc etc...

Having written a TV show built on "deep dives on one bad rich guy per week" with one version 2008-2012 and another 2021-2025, I'll say that the OG evil rich guys were evil greedy assholes, and the new rich guys are mentally disordered perverts, and so do evil. And not the good kind of perverts.

Tonight on the #MST3K every-episode-in-order-a-thon, it's DEVIL DOLL. There's at least one Twilight Zone episode with ventriloquism in it. There was also a film in the 70s that just the preview scared the pants off of young me. Doubt either of them has as many ham jokes as this experiment, though!
