The NY Times is hot on the trail of whichever guy did this.
Tim Robinson wears a hot dog costume in a wrecked clothing store and exclaims, "We're all trying to find the guy who did this." He did the thing. He is that guy. He did it.

This is what the New York Times sounds like.

Here’s a picture of Edward from earlier in the month, wearing a little surgery recovery suit we bought for him when hated the E-collar. (I think it makes him look like a science officer about to beam down to look for dilithium.)
A small, scruffy dog lays on a yard full of dry grass, with a backdrop of vinca growing wildly. Edward wears a blue onesie and has a small tag with stars against a blue backdrop.

Cena should get an Oscar nomination for Coyote vs Acme. He's spectacular in it.
From a Reddit ask-me-anything thread, Coyote is asked about a real-life coyote that had caught a road runner. He responded, "We cannot judge our worth on the work of others" by writing on a sign and holding it up.

It's a limited number of signs.

One of the things I love about this ad is it's the same style as Atari 2600 game covers. Also, that's a name I've not heard in a long time.
Ben Kenobi is dressed in a dark-brown robe with a lighter-colored under robe and a turtleneck. He stands in the pale sands of Tattooine and reacts to the name "Obi-Wan Kenobi."

"Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time."

Trying the mydialect.us test I see going around. Results are very interesting, I wonder if this is why somebody once pegged me as a Midwesterner when the only word I'd said to them was "Hello." Be interested to see this as what you said over time. I used to call it "pop" but now it's "soda."

I believe Kate Beaton's mermaid said it best.
A comic from Hark! A Vagrant by Kate Beaton

Panel one: A mermaid lounges on a rock and strums a lyre all on her own, playing music
Panel two: A boat passes by, and a swarthy pirate captain says, "I don't like the thing you are doing can you do a different thing that I like"
Panel three: Close-up on the mermaid, she says "I will fucking increase the fucking thing"

Let her cook

I knew I've seen this expression before!
George Bluth (played by Jeffrey Tambor) pictured here with his aide, Kitty Sanchez (played by comedic genius Judy Greer). They sit in a room with wood paneling on the walls and several glasses in front of them. Both George and Kitty are making the same closed-eyed, open-mouthed smile.

My fellow MiSTies know what time it is.
The ending speech from It Conquered the World. Picture Peter Graves saying this:

"He learned too late that man is a feeling He learned too late for himself that men have to find their own way, to make their own mistakes. There can't be any gift of perfection from outside ourselves. And when men seek such perfection, they find only death... fire... loss... disillusionment... the end of everything that's gone forward. Men have always sought an end to the toil and misery, but it can't be given, it has to be achieved. There is hope, but it has to come from inside from Man himself!"

“How’s the economy going?” you might ask. Well, ribeye is $20/pound and has anti-shoplifting tags on it. So it’s guess everything is great.
Selections of ribeye at my grocery store, they caught my eye because you seldom see anti-shoplifting devices in the meat aisles.

What is it that makes a man turn... neutral?!
Two figures in gray clothing, wearing red sashes, stare at a screen. The image on screen is of a flaming spacecraft about to impact their planet. The assistant says, "Your Neutralness, it's a beige alert."

Abe Simpson writing an angry letter to the President is always on my mind.

The phrase Eisenhower-era tax rates, in the form of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles logo. The words "Eisenhower" and "era" are in white lettering on a red trapezoid. "Tax" and "rates" are green, chunky letters meant to resemble turtle shells.

The new BTS Oreo flavor (brown-sugar pancake) is an instant classic. Really hoping this becomes the cookie equivalent to Colbert Americone Dream.
Display shelf full of the BTS Oreo flavor, which they call Brown Sugar Pancake.

The Oreos themselves are somewhat purple, with a tan filling that tastes a lot like brown sugar. Sweeter than the usual Oreo flavor, quite tasty.

Just gonna post this political cartoon from Peter Kuper from back in 2017. I assure you that it's completely random and in no way related to anything current. www.instagram.com/p/BXBU8i9l06D/
Cartoon by Peter Kuper depicting the five stages of White House employment from back in 2017.

People come in on a conveyor belt. At their first stop, they are smiling and wearing a MAGA hat. Next they shake hands with the President and get to work. In the third station, they look a bit nervous. On the fourth stop, Trump is angrily tweeting about them and raising a knife. Finally, they leave the White House with a knife in their back.

I kinda regret not picking up a package of these yesterday. And I can’t even name one of their songs!
Oreo has a tie-in flavor with BTS. The package says Brown Sugar Pancake flavor creme, which sounds like an ideal companion to the chocolate Oreos. For some reason the cookies are vaguely purple.

On sale at Fred Meyer for $3.99.

I think this was a Robert Bloch script they didn't pick for Season Three.
The USS Enterprise orbits a blue-and-white planet, covered in clouds. The title of the episode: "What Yonder Soul Doth Go Hence... A Brother?"

This is the TOS half of the observation that this is a standard TOS title, as opposed to the TNG standard title of "Explosion."

Holmes: Pity.

Panel the second, New Watson holds out the jar to Holmes

Holmes: That's not a clue, Watson, that's your jar of jam
New Watson: JAM!

Panel the last: Holmes and Old Watson talk in the background, New Watson in the foreground tries to get jam out of his jar.
