oh, chinatown is on bart too. i like spicy king (sichuan), yi fang (boba), and the fortune cookie factory (a bit touristy, but fresh, warm fortune cookies are actually quite nice)

oh hmm, there's also the set of restaurants near yerba buena (i enjoy ippudo, which is one of those "technically a chain but that means they exist in jp & california" ramen places), plus if u want quick burger super duper is good for that craving

oh! if u're up for a short walk from civic center I'd be remiss not to mention my neighbors, akari (fancy jp kaiseki), ushi taro (beef ramen), letssweet (hk-style cafe with hk comfort food), and chaat corner/diner (chaat + decent general indian)

towards the bay there's also ozumo (fancy small jp plates, including some excellent veg food, plus sushi). can provide other ideas if u have anything specific u wanna try.

if ur willing to walk a smidge, the tenderloin has lotsa good vietnamese food, plus some good jp food. i really like taniku (izakaya). there's also brenda's french soul food (new orleans), which i enjoy.

civic center has om sabor (some of the best vegan food ive ever had in my... life, like i genuinely love going there even as a meat eater) and dingle's (nice british), plus nearby hayes valley has naya (bingsu), plus a variety of other nice stuff.

bart will stick u right thru the mission, so uve got a lotta good mexican food, plus stonemill matcha (really good katsu sandos + matcha), san ho won (chill starred kbbq), rintaro (awesome but busy upscale izakaya) and a lot more.

i do think that one of the roots of all conversational strife online is the idea that socratic-methoding someone without their consent is anything but rude. If that doesn't read as hostile to u, imo it's a good indicator that uve possibly lost the ability to communicate normally.
