Not surprisingly, folks doing neighborhood ICE watch often find themselves documenting NYPD. This has led some of them to realize they need to learn from groups who've been organizing against police violence for a long time and have deep knowledge of the dynamics. This is a good thing.

Socially and in the legal system, our understanding of responses to sexual violence is purposefully uninformed and therefore limited to only “perfect” victims (who don’t really exist), so that we don’t have to actually combat sexual violence or believe victims or hold perpetrators accountable.

ICE has fallen out of the headlines but July marked the largest number of migrant detentions ever on record. Five migrants have died in ICE custody in the last two months. It's also currently impossible to legally migrate to this country, as 100% of visa applications have been paused.

The sooner you understand that ICE are police and police are violence workers, the sooner you will understand why ICE killing people is not only the outcome to be expected but in fact the *desired* outcome; a feature, not a bug. Which is why ICE, and all policing, must be abolished, not re-formed.
