I've been thinking about the backlash Marie Kondo got and I think part of it was not just that she was saying "buy less shit" she was explicitly say "only buy what actually makes you happy" and in a nation of conspicuous consumption it pissed people off.

Pancreatic Cancer is one of, if not the, deadliest cancers. Most people do not even realize they have it until stage 4 because of how it functions. This is a miracle if it holds out.

Surveillance implies the one being surveilled is unaware. Cameras in public spaces are cool for safety however secretly installing cameras to catch people speeding and then issuing tickets is not. My question is: did they have the "speed enforced by cameras" sign posted?
