Say what you want about a labour govt but thanks to 2 good increases in minimum wage and my employer being generous about keeping the margins between job roles this is the first year where there will be no day where turnover is higher than my annual salary - and that's really motivating

That this exquisite chalk stream should be polluted with e-coli, pesticides, cleaning products, industrial chemicals, medicines + toiletries is a tragedy beyond words that could be prevented by improving sewage systems so wastewater is treated 3 times - enough to remove most chemicals + pathogens

The thing you should take away from that headline about how a huge proportion of these people already have convictions for violence is that the cops already know who most of them are, because they regularly arrest them in the town centre and they’re regularly called out to their houses.

If there’s one thing people need to understand about Ai it’s this 👇 It’s not a search engine. It’s (probably) not giving you an extract pulled directly from an existing page. It is INVENTING text based on training data. You can trust it as much as you can trust any piece of fiction.

This bit. This bit right here. No, assholes, you do not have the right to take anything you can find on the internet and use it to feed your plagiarism machines. Another reason to be grateful we're living in the EU.
A screenshot of the excerpt provided from the EU's statement. It reads: 'While it is often suggested that AI systems 'learn' in ways similar to humans – such as reading a book or studying a painting – this analogy is misleading from a legal perspective. Under EU copyright law, this study finds that such a comparison does not hold. When generative AI models are trained on protected content, they typically make copies and process the actual expressions found in those works. This goes beyond what is permitted under current legal exceptions for activities like research or analysis (see Section 2.1.2)
