Reposted by SimonJustin McElroy 🇨🇦 @jmcelroy.bsky.social · 30/09/2026For those curious, we unfortunately will not be doing a Vancouver debate. Ken Sim's team decided to focus on a limited number of events (five in total) with other organizations, telling us "we're making sure [voters] hear directly from us about our record." As they say, it is what it is. 4503

Simon @depaneuse.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Subsidies to corporations and businesses are quite common in our societies. Some say most jobs are created this way. However when subsidies go against available resources and health of citizen you have to wonder why these are approved. Accountability is missing. 000
Simon @depaneuse.bsky.social · 24/09/2026That picture is perfect. Here's a modern city (Vancouver) that tries to give everyone (who can afford it) a single family home. They do this with all the services you would assume a modern city offers. But how do they pay for it if every family owns 4000 square feet of land? They can't 122

Simon @depaneuse.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Road safety is safety and yet the VPD has handed over 60% less road fines than 10 years ago. With a lot more cars on the roads. The explanation is simple, their budget is now so big they don’t need the fines to operate anymore. So road safety is not a priority anymore. 3347
