Insect specimens with labels removed and placed on holders ready to be moved around on conveyers and taken for imaging. System designed and run by Picturae.Digitiser working at one of the specimen stations to return specimens to their original location in the drawer and prepare and send out a new specimen.

In the past, the rich used to pay higher taxes. Now, the government pays the rich interest on a swelling debt, caused largely by lower taxes on the rich. It's a big switcheroo that we need to talk about if we're going to talk about the national debt.

One of the underrated aspects of coding with AI is that you can discover new concepts as the AI works through the problem. For example, I knew about Hilbert curves, but not Jakub Červený’s modification the “gilbert” curve github.com/jakubcerveny... Thanks to Claude Code now I do!

We just passed 3 million human curated Citations in the SFG instance of TaxonWorks. We see this as potential "gold" in Gold Standards usable to fuel next-generation AI-facilitated high-resolution processing of the science that circumscribes the Earth's species, #taxonomy
