More claims weirdness with the Anthropic settlement. I have a co-author for some books. In my summary sheet, all of them are listed with both me and my co-author. At 25% when it should be 50%. My co-author? They aren't on her settlement sheet at all. Sigh.

My new theory is that anyone with 50+ claims is considered bulk and is being handled by a different person or department. Or maybe it's too many books for their website program and so needs a different approach. I have 50 claims. My husband has 11. Another author with 65 got the bulk email as well.

So, here's a weird thing about the Anthropic review emails. They are sending out different versions. I got one that asks me to request to see my claim summery. My husband got one that just gives him a link and a login code. Why the difference? And why do I have to ask to see mine?

Funny, not so funny story about ChatGPT & why you can't trust it at all. In my quest to understand class action lawsuits better, I was asking it questions about processes & procedures. And when the judge approved the Anthropic settlement, I read the order myself. And then I fed it into Chatgpt. 1/3

For 20 yrs + the US has decided that it's ok for kids to die in schools from gun violence as long as every person has a right to bear whatever arms they want. Today the administration blamed Alex Pretti's death on the fact that he shouldn't have had his (legal) gun on his person. #disgusted

This is exactly what tyranny looks like, by the way. Not jackboots marching in formation, but armed agents roaming neighborhoods, stopping people, killing civilians, and then daring the public to question it. Tyranny is execution followed by a press release. Tyranny is labeling the dead a "threat" so the state doesn't have to explain why someone's life just ended in the street. Tyranny is demanding obedience while shredding due process and calling it order.
And all you so-called "freedom lovers" are fucking fine with it, as long as it's brown people, immigrants, protesters, or anyone you've already dehumanized. Turns out "don't tread on me" actually meant "tread on them." You weren't afraid of tyranny.
You were afraid of losing dominance. There's a difference, and this moment exposes it completely.
