Well-being app asking me to note why I had a massive stress spike at 5am so I can learn how to avoid it. Being woken suddenly because there’s a giant spider above the offsprings bed and they need me to remove it does have that effect!

Just washed my cassock alb again. Penny has finally dropped - it’s a nice fabric but it is polyester which is probably why I’m sweating in it so badly! Wonder if anyone does cotton cassock albs these days 🤔 (wearing 95% cotton clergy shirts has helped a lot in terms of comfort this summer)

Ironically sex matters on their own blog will acknowledge that they're not a feminist organisation but a gender critical (anti trans) organisation. This is in response to criticism from anti trans feminists about their collusion with anti feminists - they'd rather collaborate with the right.

Sex Matters are currently courted by the UK government and EHRC as if they were a real feminist organisation only interested in the rights of women, and at the same time they were attending that far right conference ARC alongside all the other fascist groups.

New EHRC guidance is due today. Remember: ➡️ Early reports based on unattributed briefings are spin, not facts. ➡️ This is civil law around who can and cannot bring discrimination claims - not criminal law. ➡️ Whatever it says, it is a choice by this government. They can fix it. ➡️ We will keep going.

Visiting preacher at a church today and wondering what on Earth happened to make this sign necessary!
A sign. On the left in a green ring is a clip art type black toilet with a person sitting on it. On the right the same toilet with a person standing on the seat and crouching down. This is surrounded by a res ring with a red line across it.

Beautiful work here from Bedford Borough Council.
Facebook post from Bedford Borough Council:
Wishing Bedford Borough a Happy Lent, the period of 40 days when many Christians may choose to give up certain luxuries and make space to reflect, pray, and read the Bible to prepare for the celebrations of Easter.

Reply from Maggie Tyers:
Funny you put Ramadan and eid up first. Its a Christian country first and foremost.

Reply from Bedford Borough Council to Maggie Tyers:
Ramadan began on February 17. That is why we put our Ramadan message on social media yesterday.
Lent began today, which is why our Lent message went on social media one day later.
The date of Lent is determined by the church calendar, rooted in the decisions of the Council of Nicaea (325 AD).
The official start of Ramadan traditionally depends on the sighting of the new crescent moon.
Bedford Borough Council holds no authority over the Council of Nicaea and was not responsible for the creation of the moon 4.53 billion years ago.

Three errors here. First, in confusing some kind of SEND classification (20%) with EHCPs (5.5%). Secondly in assuming it gives automatic right to DLA. Though there is a strong ECHP/DLA overlap. Third in assuming that those moving to DLA to PIP never work (it's not an out of work benefit).
