#DaxDrawsDaily Put the photo-trace project on hold for a bit, wanted to get back to just learning and experimenting with tools and getting used to the stylus. Played around with the chalk/charcoal tools, blurred it down then added some weird geometry. Getting weird with shapes is my passion. 😅

Various blobs of color using simple chalk and charcoal drawing tools.

Using the previous color-blobs as a background and running over it with a blur tool, I played around with the geometric/shape tools to see what I could make. Chaotic geometry on top of simple colors is a theme I've enjoyed before.

Trying to make a bit more progress with this photo-tracing idea I have for #DaxDrawsDaily today, but keep running into issues with this software, trying to figure out how to apply some real simple stuff without jumping through 6 tools and 10 menus. More details in the alt-text.

This is one of the first photos I ever took as a kid of my dad's junky car and the old neighborhood cat. I'm trying to trace over the cat and the car to re-draw certain elements. The trace outlines are on another layer, so once I've traced everything I can delete the photo and try draw using just the traced parts. Added a large watermark on this image because I do love this photo and would hate to see it stolen by an AI slop-machine without attribution.
