For all the pontificating by Badenoch, they remain a party without a clear plan or vision, reacting to events and making it up as they go along. Exactly the same thing that did for Starmer’s leadership of the Labour Party.

The Tories are a strange political party; no apology for the shambolic 14 years in government yet critical of the Labour government of so many things as though the Tories hadn’t been in power since 2010.

They are no longer pretending to have an actual plan. They are just throwing overcooked spaghetti to the wall to see if anything sticks. And they no longer look back at Thatcher and other 'glory days' of conservatism - it's all about maga and trumps, and not even the bits that are vaguely successful

Zionism is based on racist ideology, without it, Zionism wouldn't exist. How can you murder and displace millions of natives (Palestinians) to make room for colonizing population? Extermination based on ethnic and religious grounds is policy and doctrine of Zionism from the very start.

Genocide and ethnic cleansing as an international crime can be tricky to confirm. One needs clear evidence of intent, for one thing. Well, see above. And this one of many such examples of statements by high-level Israeli officials expressing intent regarding Gaza, the West Bank and southern Lebanon.

Voters loathed the Tory party when they booted them out in 2024.They really needed to shake off their disgrace with humility and better ideas. They haven’t. They’ve doubled down. More Brexit, more austerity, more anti-immigration ugliness, more tedious arrogance… and no good reason to vote for them.
Party seems to have learnt nothing from 2024 defeat
John Oxley

The Conservative Party is keen to show it is now ready to return to government, two and a half years after a
historic defeat.Their self-soothing explanation posits that defeat came from not being able to do what they wanted

No such pivot is happening at the current conference. The Tories have come to Birmingham calling for a return to orthodoxy, with similar lines about cutting benefits and regulation. Even so, they seem trapped by the same contradictions
- pledging to cut benefits, but not the winter fuel payments and triple lock on pensions that go to their voters.
There is no "hug-a-hoodie" moment in Birmingham. The Conservative Party is not indicating that it has changed or seeking to broaden its appeal. It is doing the opposite: it is a party returning to its core, restating all the old ideas voters have rejected but louder.

Millions of Jews live in many countries without difficulty and even where they do face problems, generally states take their side and seek to protect them. It's largely untrue that Israel's PR line of a survival refuge is a desperate need. Indeed, arguably life in Israel is much more dangerous.
