If Democrats were serious they would go straight for the jugular of the crypto industry as soon as they take power. There’s public policy reasons to do this (name a non-crime use case), but also it cuts off a major artery for Republican support and corruption.

elon musk spends two-thirds of his time spreading racist pseudoscience and hating trans people and here is Ezra Klein in 2026 saying Musk is relentlessly focused on the only things that matter to him: EVs and going to Mars. I'm sorry but the guy's just very very dim
What I find laudable in Elon Musk, amid the many things I find not laudable in him, is the relentlessness with which he tries to achieve his goals. That guy believes in getting us to Mars and creating an electric vehicle transition and all the rest of it, and nothing else matters to him. He tries to create organizations that run through walls, and he actually does make tremendous things happen in the world.

Random thought, but early YouTube was so good. Some search terms didn't yield results, but sometimes there were a few (especially with music) and they were all solid. This video is still online (youtu.be/ngQMhUOoL-8), but the related is nothing but algorithm now.
YouTube, circa 2014, via the WaybackMachine. Related videos list is all pertinent and there is not an ounce of clickbait to be seen. Title of the video is "Gravel Springs Fife and Drum", uploaded by user "folkstreamer"

A "hero" bystander who was filmed wrestling a gun from one of the Bondi Beach attackers has been named as 43-year-old Ahmed al Ahmed.

Video verified by the BBC showed Mr Ahmed run at the gunman and seize his weapon, before turning the gun round on him, forcing his retreat.

Mr Ahmed, a fruit shop owner and father of two, remains in hospital, where he has undergone surgery for bullet wounds to his arm and hand, his family told 7News Australia.
