I dreamt i was driving up a narrow coastal road in my old Alfa Romeo 159 which was supposed to pass a donkey sanctuary The road got steeper and steeper and steeper til the car lost traction and started to slide backwards at speed I then woke up. Thanks 🧠

I spoke to my son this morning about what happened at his Lycee. A peaceful protest but a few kids and the CRS decided otherwise. The CRS aren’t allowed to fire CS gas directly, only on the floor. They fired directly and at an 11yo kid who was just walking past. Samuel got excited 1/4

The most compelling thing I’ve read in response to the Cornell case is in an essay by feminist writer Soraya Chemaly. She cites anthropologist Peggy Sanday, who told her that there are “rape-prone” and “rape-free” societies: “She found that in rape-free cultures, women have far more authority, status, safety and freedom.”

They’re societies in which women’s rights to bodily and social self-determination are respected, and a man who violates those rights would face severe consequences. “Rape-prone cultures, on the other hand, treat rape as an entitlement in a system that revolves around masculine contests and hierarchies.”

First of it’s kind in the US maybe… In France school starts at 3. In our commune, can drop your kids off at 7:30-18:30. Pre/post school is means tested. Before that, childcare is subsidised for people on lower incomes. Massively helps women to get back to work
