Someone found him on the beach, I think, abandoned and starving with painful skin conditions and completely blind. He is putting on weight and up and walking, and his eyes are going to be taken care of so they aren't painful anymore, so things are definitely looking up for Rocky!

If I remember right, it was a shattered pelvis which made voiding difficult. They operated and after a long recovery took Maria back home with dietary restrictions to keep it from recurring. Her owners did not follow the instructions and she died.

I spoke to a Venezuelan woman who was arrested in this raid and later released with her 4yo son. She said agents broke down their door, pointed guns at them and made sexualized remarks about Venezuelan women. When she returned to her apartment it was boarded up and all her possessions were gone.

some good reasons to support Chris here: 1. This is a Republican-held assembly district - it voted for the Republican 54-46 in 2024 but only 50-48 for Trump, so it is absolutely flippable 2. Dems do have a supermajority in the assembly but who is in that supermajority makes a big difference
