it’s incredible that dogs have figured out how to outsource their cognition to humans. they will literally stare at you and it makes you uncomfortable enough to try to figure out what they want. the dog might not even know! but you’ll start doing things for the dog until you do something they want.

Trying to think which 90s band the new beabadoobee album reminds me of. There's definitely "Siamese Dream" era Smashing Pumpkins in there, but it's not all of it, and stupid chemo brain means I'm struggling to figure it out. Maybe she just sounds like beabadoobee and I should stop trying.

Last pre-chemo blood test today (all being well), and in contrast to the student nurses or young 'uns I normally get who faff around for ages trying to find a vein, I had a 60-something Yorkshirewoman who just jabbed the needle right in there, got some blood out and sent me on my way. Amazing work.
