I was referring to how whenever you call customer service now, you either have to mash buttons or go “speak to a person speak to a person speak to a person” to reach anybody, in the cases where there IS a way to reach somebody. That’s what automating customer service is

The conventional wisdom that technology gets cheaper as it develops has not applied to frontier model LLMs; costs of training actually rise as it develops, and compute requirements have grown more complex. But all the open-source development could spawn a more efficient, appropriate smaller model.
