New feature in svelte...is @const with superpowers and it's so cool. It will make scripts unneeded in a few cases 🤟🏻😎

One way to add more D&D into your life is just to take every object in your house that has a compound name and separate it with of. That? Thats my Cloth of Washing Oh that? That’s my Fridge of Reeing Oh no! The Maker of Waffles has shattered!

I’m just doing my best to say things clearly guys (Decoder with the CEO of Razer -> www.theverge.com/podcast/8633...)
Grok, also made by Elon Musk, who has his own anime waifu ideas, I would say. There’s something there that is, you know, not necessarily just trust and safety. The idea that you would have a pet on your desk that looks like a person, that can talk to you, that’s a big door to open for a lot of people. Are you worried about that at all?

Well, the doors have been open since Tamagotchi.

I think there’s a pretty big step difference between… Like my daughter has a Tamagotchi. I’m never worried that this thing is alive.

Right.

The Tamagotchi has not driven anyone into psychosis.

Sure. But from a virtual perspective, and as a gamer, we’ve interacted with NPCs and stuff like that. And of course, NPCs are getting smarter with AI, and I do hope they get smarter. It gets more engaging. And I think we’re still in the early days. Now, the question, I think, where it’s going to lead to is something that we need to discover, right?

I’ve had a couple cracks (mostly Claude code assisted) the actual routes are simple enough, the whole firehose and getting relays to get updates from you is where it gets tricky (but I need to sit down and understand DOs a bit more deeply at some point)

I’m finding I’m subconsciously giving it harder tasks with less detailed input, and having to go back and start again, are you finding with Codex that maybe you’ve “reset” your approach as it’s new ? I’m considering building a wrapper around Claude just to keep me doing things properly 😅

How a flawed idea is teaching millions of kids to be poor readers
For decades, schools have taught children the strategies of struggling readers, using a theory about reading that cognitive scientists have repeatedly debunked. And many teachers and parents don't kno...

Surprisingly this is Argos for me in the UK, order before like 5pm and they’ll deliver it that evening, not as rapid I’m sure but the delivery fee is probably a fair bit cheaper

Ah, that could be a client issue if you haven’t changed browser since, they aggressively cache the site, I’ve hit that when migrating servers before, try clearing the cache you should hit the setup wizard 🤞🤞🤞🤞

I’d say the client side is a lot better than it was, the server side can still be a pain in some ways, I personally run it with docker on an old machine in my office now to avoid the system mess from the full installer “experience”

If you can be bothered with the move, Jellyfin has come leaps and bounds in recent years! Good set of apps and has support for things like quick login on TVs now. I ditched Plex when they started pivoting to things like game emulation and haven’t looked back

About 12 hours later and Claude managed to get Mistys gym badge at some point, now it’s just stuck in Cerulean city going round and round. I wonder if in a year we’ll have 10m token context windows and this sort of problem will seem like a hillarious Stone Age issue to us 🤔

Based on the graph they released the twitch stream is maybe a little behind, if it can get Mistys badge first time it'll be back on track (If I'm remembering the timeline for pokemon correctly)
Claude 3.7 Sonnet demonstrates that it is the very best of all the Sonnet models so far at playing Pokémon Red. On the x-axis is the number of interactions Claude completes as it plays the game; on the y-axis are important milestones in the game involving collecting certain items, navigating to certain areas, and defeating certain game bosses.

Claude's been "choosing" to nickname all the pokemon, I think that's interesting maybe ?

Fact: There are no good programming languages, only the least worst. It applies to operating systems and every other product that exists today. You always need to make some compromises.
