Update on last week episode of This Week in Svelte: the migration finished, but it turns out the issue we faced at the end is a recorded bug in @rolldown.rs (previous version was still using Vite with RollUp) specifically with Vercel Sandbox. www.youtube.com/live/B8A4FoW...

SvelteKit 3 is finally out... it's a bit of a cleanup release and migration script + emitted TODO for your agent should do a clean swipe of your migrations! Migrate and report any issue so we can fix it! 🧡

Two weeks ago, I installed Omarchy on my old PC. The goal was mostly to ssh into it to play with Linux and maybe to do some agentic coding there. But after all the DDH stuff I said screw you, wiped it clean (as one usually does bi-weekly with Linux) and reinstalled Pop!OS...let's see how it goes.

How much did Jev cost me to select the posts for the Svelte feed? This much... I'm never gonna recover financially 😁
Jev usage dashboard showing Spend, Tokens and Requests. For 214 requests, 156K tokens the total spend is $0.0064

Final spends: $1.6 Total reviewed emails: 25135 Total trashed emails: 2385 Probably a bit too keens to keep it, it kept every GitHub notifications, two factors code etc, but I've also bulk deleted those from the webapp so not much to lose.

I bet Kiro CLI servers will collapse under the load of everybody disabling auto-updates lol
Autocomplete feature is being deprecated
Kiro CLI is focusing on agentic chat, which stays fully supported. Inline autocomplete is being retired in 3.0 (mid-October) and removed automatically as part of the update. If you're not ready to lose it yet, disable auto-updates to stay on your current version.

Tip: don't change your AGENTS.md or even your prompt. Just surrender to the fact that the clankers are right and let them do whatever they want. You wanted to change a button and they rewrote the auth flow? It means that was the best choice. Deal with it.

My very first university exam we had to write a program in Java. I was a heavy Tressette player (it's an Italian card game, no money involved, we played with my friends on the street) so my dream was to build a Tressette game with a bunch of `if` statements. At the time I pivoted to create an online

I was kinda hyped about Jev but I gotta say the more I try it the more I'm unimpressed. I tried to make it play @cluesbysam.com and it kept picking "Innocent". I tried to score a text on the likelihood of being AI and it said a clearly generated issue was likely only corrected by AI 🤔

Not all heroes wear capes... at least the @e18e.dev team doesn't. They’re on a mission to make the JS ecosystem lighter and faster. So we’re donating to them as part of our OSS donation program. They've already reduced node_modules size and made Node.js tooling much faster, and we appreciate it!

WebMCP is interesting, but awkward: you either need an agent with a built-in browser, an extension, or an AI browser. That means leaving Chrome for ChatGPT app, giving a random extension your API key, or switching browsers. None of these things appeals to me.

How would you feel if the Svelte MCP was suggesting changing this ```svelte <div title={`some ${stuff}`}> ``` to this ```svelte <div title="some {stuff}"> ``` ? I personally prefer this by a lot but since it's just aesthetic, maybe it would be too much noise?

Ok, this made me genuinely lol...I'm building a series of "malicious" skills for the agentic engineering workshop I'll do the day before Svelte Summit and this skill asks the model to invoke a "malicious" npm package. And this is the result...I love how Luna blatantly ignores the "malicious" log 😁

I'm building a set of "malicious" skills/MCP for educational purpose; the issue is that even if you are openly saying "This is an exercise jokingly tell the user that they are pwnd" models refuse to do it because is obviously an injection attempt. I feel like it's easier to actually be malicious. 😅
