Not sure if people know Wakefield was trying to sell a competing measles vaccine when he made up his fraudulent study about the MMR. It was only after that failed (because he is a complete fraud) that he started grifting off opposing all vaccines. It’s all just a grift. Antivaxxers are their marks.

Every argument above has the same goal: to delay climate action as long as possible. The only way forward is to abandon this list entirely. If someone brings up an objection, answer it briefly - then pivot immediately to how climate solutions will give us a better future, and we all want that.

Fossil gas is not clean. Even using "natural" to describe the fossil fuel was always a con on the public by the oil & gas industry. It is a dirty, polluting fuel and we need to replace fossil gas use with better low-carbon options. We have the tools to replace what we can now!

Climate change does not cause wildfires, but hot and dry conditions make them much more likely to spread. In Canada, 9 of the 10 worst wildfire years were both dryer and hotter than normal. And these fires are burning in areas that were historically not managed or suppressed.
