She was doxxed by a Chi Phi alum who implored his followers to “help a Chi Phi.” Just in case anyone thought that organization was remotely redeemable.

"But now Billy was dead, and the state of Connecticut said he owed $232,733 for room and board during his earlier prison stay. Selling the house where DeSenti now lived alone would help satisfy that debt." ctmirror.org/2026/09/27/t...

They served their time in prison. Then the bills arrived.
Hundreds of CT residents have had money seized through a law that allows the state to charge a fee for every day a person spends in prison.

Democrats need to drag every one of these spineless executives in front of congress when they retake it to have them explain in thorough detail why they acted like such feckless cowards.
In truth, I’m told that inside the John Ternus- and Tim Cook-led company, it would be difficult to find an employee who genuinely supports the name change. As one person familiar with the matter put it to me, “There is not a soul who is for it” and that “everyone considers it fucking nuts.” But Apple’s leadership team—as well as most of the employees inside the company—are “resigned” to these types of concessions under Trump 2.0 and know “that Trump will fuck with the company if the company doesn’t do what he wants,” the person said. Unlike in Trump 1.0, Silicon Valley employees are also less emboldened to speak out against leadership.

Spokespeople for Apple did not return requests for comment on Tuesday.

The ghosts of James and Helen Storrow demand sacrifices! James fought to preserve and improve the riverbank as a public park. After he died, his wife Helen prevented a highway from being built and donated $1M to the park. After Helen died, MA put a highway through his park and named it after him 🤬

NEW: What Monday’s Supreme Court election order ruling is and is not. The Republican majority gave Trump a temporary win. It could be short-lived — or it could “foment chaos,” as Justice Jackson wrote, calling out the majority in unusually direct terms. Tonight, at Law Dork:

This is well reported. I also am really annoyed that my house will be 4 houses away from joining the Flagg district when the rest of our general neighborhood is shifting into it. It doesn’t make sense.

Y'all, if you have ever wondered what it would like like for the federal government to tell you what you are/not allowed to read and thought "screw that," now is the time to say so. Sign this letter. Send a postcard. Call your senators. This is a nightmare scenario. Don't let it pass.

Some really underhanded stuff from Seth Moulton's campaign on social media. The campaign launched a "fact checker" account without disclosing that it's campaign operated. They're claiming to be a "journalist." All of the account's Instagram followers are Moulton staff.

my hot take is that this is the actual america 250. just a ton of different people coming together, showing people what makes America weird and fun. people being welcoming. and yeah there’s some bullshit too, which is also very true to America! but the good and community far outweighs it rn.

The mifespristone case shows that the abortion federalism promised by Dobbs was a lie—the goal is to ban abortion everywhere, even if that means forcing pro choice states like New York to enforce abortion bans passed by anti-choice states. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...
Shield laws are not directly at issue in Louisiana’s case. But Alito’s reference to those laws as part of a “scheme” to undermine Dobbs is a tell that he believes that New York should be compelled to help enforce Louisiana’s ban on abortion. Although the justices who overturned Roe blamed it for fomenting partisan rancor and division, the Dobbs ruling was always going to be worse in that regard, precisely because abortion cannot truly be banned as long as you can cross state lines to get one.
