I first read double blind as a kid ,and it was one of my favorites growing up. Today’s #Mechtober day is about Loren Coleman ,who made me adore the capellan confederation. Double Blind also gave me my first dose of Canopus and Avanti’s Angels. Also I adored sword of sedition and fortress republic <3

Discworld QOTD, from Thud!

Would a minute have mattered? No, probably not, although his young son appeared to have a very accurate internal clock. Possibly even 2 minutes would be okay. Three minutes, even. You could go to five minutes, perhaps. But that was just it. If you could go for five minutes, then you'd go to ten, then half an hour, a couple of hours...and not see your son all evening. So that was that. Six o'clock, prompt. Every day. Read to young Sam. No excuses. He'd promised himself that. No excuses. No excuses at all. Once you had a good excuse, you opened the door to bad excuses.

Day Ten of #mechtober #battletech and its famed mercenary unit Eridani Light Horse. Well, they had their dream fulfilled and were SLDF again in the 90s and how did that work out for them? Interesting to see how they will go in the ilClan era now they are existing again.

A full company, along with an ASF lance, of the 8th Sword of Light.

A pair of Shilone aerospace fighters from the 8th Sword of Light.

The cover art of the new core rulebook for classic BattleTech featuring a Regent from the 1st Sword of Light blazing a trail of destruction. But wait...there's a fighter coming up behind him. Look out! Oh no, he can't hear us, he's got airpods in!

#MechTober 9 - Elite House Commands Founded in the 3050s by Thomas Marik, the Knights of the Inner Sphere were the most elite and chivalrous MechWarriors in the FWL. They fought as part of Task Force Serpent to defeat Clan Smoke Jaguar but sadly died along with the FWL during the Jihad.

Who's that Crockett variant? It's.... CRK-5003-1b! Eventually I want to make one for every Gunslinger related mech, but I'm particularly proud of this one, as it's based on a physical conversion I actually made. The more canon compliant version would be a CRK-5003-1... #BattleTech #patches

A 4 inch (~99mm) round patch with a black satin sitch outer lining, a red band about .25 inches thick with silver text that says SLDF on the top and GUNSLINGER on the bottom, and an inner blue section with a gold Crockett silhouette with black accents. The border between the red and blue sections are interstitial sections of golden satin stitching. Gold and black revolvers are crossed between the mechs legs.
