A few new Lego Battletech designs for today's Elite House Commands day...not sure the Somerset Strikers really count, but they're ready to take back the galaxy! #mechtober #Battletech #lego

The Baby Shit Metallic rings painted on the tires are slightly out of round so when it's driving at low speeds it looks like it has a loose wheel cover. And what is happening with that left rear corner panel alignment?

The M5 went on its first trip of the year! What a fantastic machine for crushing miles: freeways, 2-lane highways, back roads. Though those back roads are more fun when not hauling a wife prone to carsickness, a sleeping toddler, and everyone's supplies for a long weekend... #carbluesky

Went to a preschool open house today, and it's clear that they have had banana distribution issues in the maybe-not-so-distant past.

8.5 x 11 sheet of paper posted on a door on which is printed, "PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO SERVE YOUR BANANAS!" This is highlighted and then underlined in red marker.

King Crab! I was really excited that I could make the gun-cover claws open and close. Many single-stud connections here make keeping everything aligned a pain. This is the ComStar Clanbuster variant with Streak SRM-2s, but the binoculars and round studs under them can be swapped for 1x1 slope 30s.

The classic #BattleTech WHM-6R Warhammer. This one is largely based on the original Unseen design because I had the 3rd Edition box set as a kid. The Warhammer was on the cover, but I couldn't resist making this with the Black Widow paint scheme instead of the box's tan.

It's a Lego Warhammer! BattleTech, not 40k. And it's Natasha Kerensky's, because it's kind of the iconic Warhammer. It's walking across a map sheet, one PPC arm pointed at the camera, the other angled kinda down towards the ground, like "I'm only going to need one of these bad boys to completely destroy you," and definitely *not*, "I need to volley fire because I'm sweating out of my eyeballs in here."

View of the Lego Warhammer from the left front quarter. Just standing there on a BattleTech mapsheet, both arms facing forward.

Lego Warhammer, right front quarter view, standing stationary on a BattleTech mapsheet with the arms hanging down. Maybe powered down for the night.

Lego BattleTech Warhammer standing behind a Warhammer mini. I might do another version later that has the new design's horizontal SRM rack on the right shoulder.

First up, the Shadow Cat. In 1995, I got TRO: 3058 for my birthday, and this was my favorite ‘Mech in the book. I loved the Gauss rifle arm, protruding cockpit, and Timber Wolf-style reverse legs with offset knees. This one is in Diamond Shark Alpha Galaxy colors. #BattleTech #Lego #MechWarrior

Looking up articles about the 4th-gen Legacy and I found this Subaru press site: www.subaru.co.jp/en/news/arch... My favorite line: "The sharp, bold design of the headlamps reveals the image of the sharp eyes of a falcon, which ultimately represents individuality." Also bonus Engrish.

Snip from press site: "Power and compactness are represented in the wider Legacy body with slanted ends. The sharp curving line on the front hood to the front bumper, together with the projected fenders, express expectations of stability and dynamic driving, and those expectations are met by the low center of gravity of the Horizontally-Opposed Engine and symmetrical AWD. The sharp, bold design of the headlamps reveals the image of the sharp eyes of a falcon, which ultimately represents individuality. The brightness of the lamps themselves has been also enhanced."

A head-on photo of an Atlantic Blue Pearl 4th-gen Subaru Legacy, displaying the headlights/image of the sharp eyes of a falcon.

Additional text from the press release: "Seven new body colors express its sporty, high quality (satin white, arctic white, pearl*, brilliant silver, metallic, Obsidian black pearl, garnet red pearl*, legal blue pearl, Atlantic blue pearl)." The dark blue color available on these cars was Regal Blue Pearl.

Also spotted on this evening's walk: both generations of Golf R32 parked next to each other, some immortal Euro iron, the Japanese GOATwagon, and an adorable toy truck.

A black Mk4 VW Golf R32 and a grey Mk5 VW Golf R32 parked on the street

A dark grey Mercedes-Benz W123 diesel parked on the street. It has yellow fog lights and some patina on the driver's door and front fender. Behind it, a blue 200-series Volvo wagon. Sorry, I don't know my old Volvos as well as some of the weird car folks do...

A champagne-colored '90s (XV10) Toyota Camry wagon with a roof box. In addition to the dual rear wipers, this example had dual exhaust, which means it's a V-6.

A cream and red Ford Bronco parked on the street. There's a huge tree behind it, which makes the already toy-like Bronco II look even more toy-like.

I've got to have a first post sometime, might as well be in #weirdcarbs. I saw this M100 Elan three years ago in Portland, parked in front of what seems to be an EV specialist shop.
