Wild life, ecological and social justice, resilience in diversity. If we can learn to treat all beings with equal respect, we might just be able to save something.

If you want a better world we are going to need to be much tougher than I'm seeing from lots of people today. Regardless of what particular motions are passed, they will come for us, and a few negative headlines is just the appetiser. So prepare yourself for the fight. The world is at stake.

Cancelled my @theguardian.com subscription. Its treatment of GPEW belies its progressive claims but I stayed as it's the best (imo) MSM. But its negative cover of conference - no mention of the good policies - and an attack piece just before an important by-election are blatant, and seal the deal.

Welcome
Thank you for being here. This film brings together leading evidence on the dimate and nature crisis, and what it means for the UK. It is designed to be watched together in communities like this one, creating space for honest conversation and constructive civic engagement.
Across the UK, people are now coming together to ensure these risks are property understood, openly discussed, and responded to with the seriousness they require.
A growing national effort
The National Emergency Briefing is building support for a government-backed televised emergency briefing to the nation on the climate and nature crisis.
The initative began at Westminster Central Hall, where more than 1,200 MPs, peers and leaders from across UK society heard directly from senior experts about the scale of the risks facing the UK and the response now required.
This film extends that work into communities and businesses across the country, where people are now inviting MPs to screenings, calling for politicians to support a Parliamentary Call for a televised briefing, and helping bring the film to new audiences.

A drawing from this evening. Something that might be a bird in flight. I never know, when I start, what I’m going to draw (and sometimes, when I get done, I still don’t). But I very often wind up drawing bird-like things.
Art. Black and white ink pen drawing, made of abstract shapes ands lines, that might look like a bird with a long, sharp beak flapping a wing above its head in mid-flight. The bird needs a name, so will call him Ruthanos. He has a long, sharp beak that looks perfect for spearing fish or hamsters. His wing spreads it above his head, and his leg trails behind him like a dingo chasing a kangaroo (never getting closer, never getting farther). He is dynamic, in the way of a toddler before the first bite of ice cream: on the very cliff’s edge of kinetic catalogs.

God speed, Ruthanos. It’s gonna be a ride.
