It’s almost 5am I’ve watched so many prints fail over the past day But it’s fucking done The gears mesh, the wheels turn I need to do some work on this motor before I try giving it power, but my first printed chassis looks like it’s going to work

Something I only now remembered is that all engines on loan od GWR had numbers on bufferbeams and power and weight classification. Including (but not limited to) Jintys, 8Fs, Lord Nelsons. Also 23 Swindon 8Fs after nationalization got GWR 25"hg brake ejectors instead of LMS 21"hg ones.

I love fixing up things like this! I did a lot of things like swapping motors and making 3d printable adapters as parts are hard to get in my country. Everything can be fixed, but if you give up I might be interessted in getting her off you.

Another very productive weekend on my Canadian clients layout in the books! All the track got laid and switch back constructed on the coal mine plateau, the ONR shops finally got assembled and the roundhouse is now permanently placed and all twelve tracks installed and wired! Videos below ⬇️

The Great western does have a lot of great locomotives, the 1400 and 517 classes are some of my favourited! One of these days I'm going to design some of their early broad gauge stuff. It's just finding the time.

During and after the war, yes. So did 8Fs and Black 5s. Some of 8Fs actually spent more of their service on GWR teritory than LMS.

The prototype for my #3Dprinted GT3 body shell is done, and it's coming together quite nice. Still a few tweaks to make but we're not miles away from getting it ready to sell. #modelrailway

My 3D printed GT3 body shell, fitted onto a Triang B12 chassis. The livery is black with a red buffer beam at the front, with white for highlighted areas. The livery of the chassis was green on the original loco. It is still a work in progress as many parts are not fitted, such as the handrails.

Better shot of the front of the loco, the buffers are not black on the end as they should be as this is just a prototype. Route discs are not shown for the same reason.

£40 is the price for the non-transphobic one, the mold express is an extra £5 on top, and if you want a train set with the Hall you need to either buy individual track packs and coaches, or give money to the mold queen :'(

Second set of power screws is in, I had to remember how points work to figure out where to put them, but we got there in the end, all working as intended This layout is coming together so nicely too, it’s great to actually have a plan instead of diving in with no clue what you’re doing

Awesome! Keeps looks similar. For name maybe Dexter( because Experiment), Francis/George(after their designer) Marshall(their Valvegear after rebuild), Inertia(I think sounds in line with class' names) Ariel (since one of this class was named Prospero) Those are Just suggestions tho.

If you didnt see "the Jury", heres the Tidmouth roundhouse I made for it! this doesnt replace the original sheds, just an additional shed for the engines. it was based off the TVS sheds of course, but also barrow hill roundhouse. It was a ton of fun to do!
