the new thomas show was not as annoying and terrible as i hoped it was just kinda boring if anything that might be worse

I think ive settled into my opinion, and i might get shit for this, but fuck it. thomas 2026 is worse than aeg.

Benny/Zuri @bunnybenny.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

thomas is doomed to a spiral of being rebooted every 5 years and getting telephoned until all we have in common with the classics is "thomas is a blue train who lives in a shed"

watching season 4 after seeing that hits different. we'll never even come within the same discussion of quality again

Benny/Zuri @bunnybenny.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

thomas 2026 is a worse sign for the future of thomas than aeg was because it solidifies that mattel thinks we are fucking morons that will eat up anything. they are trying to appeal to fans too, why else would they bring back boco. but they think we are stupid. they think we'll be happy with-

Some areas in Paper Mario feature a rim lighting effect that is achieved in a manner that is extremely simple for the surprisingly effective results it produces, being simply shifting around a shadow copy of the sprite.

The rim lighting effect in Paper Mario is created in an extremely simple manner.
[the sprites are taken, copied, recolored black, then the black version is offset, made transparent, and trimmed to the original sprite]
Note how this coincidentally results in a realistic shadow of the cap on Mario's face because the shadow is just the brim recolored black

okay so finished it iirc the general opinion on this movie is just "it sucks balls" when no its really not a bonds beyond time level disaster i never wanna think about again, and i feel it has alot of merit. the movie starts off INSANELY good, like not too far off dark side of dimensions-

watching the yugioh pyramid of light movie, i have literally no idea if this movie is any good, and ive hated bonds beyond time and adored dark side of dimensions so lets see where this ends up

Anyone else remember all the ports they used to make of this game?
