Second preview for @13daysadvent.bsky.social! I was delighted to not only write about Kodama, but to also have this piece illustrated by the incredible @anticiajk.bsky.social <3 🛒 Preorders are open until August 10th🛒 Get it here: 13daysadvent.bigcartel.com UK/EU: www.etsy.com/listing/4332...

crescenttwins' writer preview for 13 Days: Fae & Fables. The preview is on a cream textured pattern surrounded by a leafy frame. It reads: "Kodama: Beneath leaf-filtered light, kodama peer from trees so high that their branches swallow the sky. Their small forms come and go like tricks of light--steadier for those who hearts are parched. For those who look for them and their blessings, who treasure the trees and rest beneath their canopies, the kodama are more likely to appear."

Preorders are open until August 10th at 13daysadvent.bigcartel.com. The zine can be found as 13DaysAdvent on carrd, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and Bluesky.

The first of my previews for 13 Days: Fae and Fables spooky advent calendar @13daysadvent.bsky.social! I got to write about banshees <3 Preorders are open until August 10th, so be sure to grab a copy while you can at 13daysadvent.bigcartel.com! (or on the UK/EU shop www.etsy.com/listing/4332...)

crescenttwins' writer preview for 13 Days: Fae & Fables. The preview is on a cream textured pattern surrounded by a leafy frame. It reads: "Banshees: The appearance of banshees is much debated. For some, the fae appears short. To others, they are unnaturally tall, like a tree ready to snap in the wind. They are young, old, slim, crouched over, worn down or glamorous. Banshees have myriad appearances. How, then, do people expect to identify their banshee encounters? Simple: the scream."

Preorders are open until August 10th at 13daysadvent.bigcartel.com. The zine can be found as 13DaysAdvent on carrd, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and Bluesky.

See what @crescenttwins.bsky.social is bringing forth this Halloween for 13 Days 2024: Demons & Divinity!

A black and gold horizontal rectangle reads, "Writer preview. 13 Days: Demons & Divinity. @13DaysAdvent on Carrd, Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram." The story sample from Crescenttwins reads, "Dear Space Orc, I have been tasked to deliver a message—nay, a revelation—to a hunter of the woods. However, the grace of Heaven, which illuminates my steps and wreaths my voice in glory, is not working. Indeed, the hunter ignores the honor of my revelation and appears to think that I am a lesser creature called a jackalope. How am I to deliver my message from the heavens? -Just Want to Say Halo."

🌒GUEST SPOTLIGHT🌘 @crescenttwins.bsky.social will be delivering a worldly advice column that's trying to answer its otherworldly inquiries!

A black and gold, horizontal rectangle showcases CrescentTwins' writing sample, which reads, "To set the record straight: Shang Qinghua had never planned to work in the palace. One moment, Shang Qinghua had been a poor storyteller with a decent survival instinct. The next, he had been bundled up and tossed into the palace. Long story short: rain-drenched, freezing, and a little addled by Mobei-jun’s good looks, Shang Qinghua had decided to accept the kidnapping unexpected job offer." Her favorite demon/deity is "The Four Guardians," and her socials are @happinessdeceit on Twitter and @crescenttwins on Bluesky and Tumblr.

Discworld QOTD, from Making Money

They were indeed what was known as ‘old money’, which meant that it had been made so long ago that the black deeds which had originally filled the coffers were now historically irrelevant. Funny, that: a brigand for a father was something you kept quiet about, but a slave-taking pirate for a great-great-great-grandfather was something to boast of over the poet. Time turned the evil bastards into rogues, and rogue was a word with a twinkle in its eye and nothing to be ashamed of.
