#ScreenshotSaturday 🪼 Oh, what a glorious day to praise Kaegler! Aspiring supplicants are drawn into the depths of the sea... 🌊 #vndev #indiedev

TEXT: It's beautiful, isn't it? There's so much more than this. I can show you every beauty, every secret. I can make everything yours, if only you'll be mine.

MC is tempted by a shadowy veiled oracle within a dark dreamscape.

TEXT: Well, your situation must be dire, then. Share the gossip.

MC consults a shady professor in his carmine office.

TEXT: Gossip travels fast down here, you know. I've already heard your story. Surface scum? Now, that's something special.

MC meets the prickly Long Arm in a pub by the docks.

Time for another #ScreenshotSaturday, this time including one of the game's CGs! You can play Stygiomedusa's demo, out now 🐠🌊 #vndev #gamedev

Text: Instead, your buzzing mind is plagued by questions, rolling around and around in your head.

MC touches "the beyond."

Text: Claudia's Foleri's best fishing captain. Whenever she docks, the people just know they're about to be getting their teeth around some great quality fish. That's why people like her so much... and she knows it.

MC and Stura encounter Claudia in the submarine dockyard after a haul.

Text: You're standing in a massive room with arching ceilings. It looks like a temple, but the walls are white with protrusions that bulge like veins. When touched, the texture is cool and spongy, and you have to pull back quickly before it swallows your hand.

You enter a nightmarish dream where skeletal remains and countless eyes fester within brine pools.

For this #ScreenshotSaturday, we thought we'd show you some of the different personalities you'll meet during Stygiomedusa's demo! The people of Foleri can be prickly...🐙 #vndev #indiedev

Text: What a waterlogged mess...

The pauldron-clad Lord Stura (left) and elderly clergyman (right) greet the Player upon their arrival in Foleri.

Text: The young man stops in his tracks. He loses a game he wasn't at all playing when he gives his attention over to the younger woman. She, in turn, puts on a grant, faux-naïf smile as if claiming victory.

Two hooded clerics rush across Foleri's streets to see the Player's reading at the Oracle's temple.

Text: Cask brandy. Mug for me, just a sip for this scrawny thing. Don't want to knock them out.

The player (left) meets the Long Arm (right) in a pub setting on the docks. The Long Arm wears an old-fashioned diving suit with nautiloid motifs.

A cozy bedroom, stuffy office, and a horrid dream... All are settings you can explore in Stygiomedusa 🐠🦑 Demo out now! #ScreenshotSaturday

Text: Your vision blurs, Liras' face becoming a swirl of miasma and shadow before your very eyes. You think you see... horns? Eyes?

Liras the heretic stands within the brine pools, though he's taken on a different form...

Text: Kaegler told me. Can we speed this along? The priests believe I'm mediating, but that excuse won't last forever.

The Oracle, Luka, warns MC about approaching clerics. They're located in a cozy bedroom with art decorating every wall.

Text: Liras' office is carmine paints, scavenged and polished woods, and dark drapes that block the outside world. Liras sits at a small desk; books coat it, many of them open or bristling with bookmarks. The room is small-at a stretch, it could be termed 'cozy'.

I got this finished up! :) It was done with watercolors, gouache, acrylic ink and walnut ink.

A watercolor painting of a skeleton wearing very thick and flowing and draping robes with a hood. It is very gently embracing a human figure, who presses their head against the skeleton's chest and shoulder area as though seeking comfort.

A little peek into our game's demo for #ScreenshotSaturday! 🐠 Playable now 👀 #vndev #indiedev

Text: Unceremoniously perched upon the altar and heavily draped in fabrics sits a lone figure, looking upon the scene with obvious boredom.

In front of the oracle's temple, a place carved with eyes and sulci, sits the Veiled Oracle. They are draped in heavy white fabric and jewels.

Text: Your heart sinks as you hear their deep, creaking voice. This is the same Long Arm you saw earlier, chastising their companions. Perhaps you've made a foolish choice in coming here.

Two characters stand in front of a submarine docking yard. The main character (right) doubts their choice to pursue the treasure hunter's (left) route. The treasure hunter (or Long Arm) wears an old-fashioned diving suit.

Text: You aren't surprised he would feel this way, actually. It makes a frightening amount of sense. Still... could you ask someone to defy their god?

Against a backdrop of Foleri's streets, the main character (left) ponders how their near-death experience impacted Stura (right).
