I am continuing to read about Sheinbaum, La Presidenta de Mexico. Her story is fascinating, and her presidency is I think a useful look at how principle and pragmatism can coexist in uneasy and unstable balance (is “unstable balance” a useful descriptor? I think so). 1/3

My Rage Against the Machine/Les Mis mashup is complete. This is my interpretation of the quilt guild’s summer challenge “quilt with your interpretation and/or feelings towards our current ‘democracy’” all hand stitched.

Had a long phone chat with an old friend from high school. He became a truly world-class climber, with first ascents all over the world (Pakistan, Nepal, Tibet, Baffin Island, etc). Funny how things work out.

Was looking at a clip from my front porch camera and saw a delivery person notice the chips/drinks I leave out for them and they grabbed a bag then gave a little thumbs-up to the camera, palms together in thanks. I enjoy seeing the little rack empty out over time before I refill it. Nice to be nice.
