If you can get someone to change their course by just 1°, when they’ve travelled 1 mile, they’ll be about 100’ away from their original course. 10 miles puts them about .25 miles off. 100 miles and they’re getting close to 2 miles away from their original destination.

Propaganda doesn’t make you do a 180 over night. In most cases it never turns you fully around, which is more a function of brainwashing. But to achieve its ends it doesn’t need to move you all the way around. It just needs to nudge you onto a slightly different course.

When I was younger I would listen to Rush or Hannity, and joke that I was “keeping an eye on the opposition.” I would find myself yelling at the radio in the car so I stopped bc it was bad for me. MMFA took that idea, and did it at scale, and broke the brains of some really talented journalists.
