A figure sculpture wearing a hooded top and shorts balances on the thin support cables of a pedestrian bridge at night. The bridge deck below is illuminated with vibrant red light, which reflects onto the sculpture and the metal support cables. In the dark background beyond the bridge, city buildings and a glowing blue and red tower are visible against the night sky. It a sculpture by Polish artist Jerzy "JotKa" Kędziora.

If any of the big #AI lovers on here who haven't blocked me for being so "anti AI" could pop by and answer some questions..I'd love that. Because I'd love to know how you can justify some of the LLM slop generated particularly when it comes to "instruction". Oh boy does it just give BS.

prep'd an email to send to my SL & IT teams in the morning regarding a number of concerns and issues with the IT labs and network. Just petrified to send it as I'm sure they'll think I'm out to cause trouble.

Another fucking weekend wasting my time with fucking Microslop 365 and some other bullshit school management system that was never designed for anything other than language schools (and yes they do run differently). So fucking tired of tech today and that makes me feel so old.

I like my current school, it does a good number of things right (or at least seems to) but technology isn't one and neither is employing enough IT/computing teachers. It's so tiring working in a department of 1. Even more so I now cover all groups from year 5 to 13.

Fucking hell Blues. Yet again looking to be the side on top and then go and let them score. Do the players know that to score the ball has to go in that space between the posts, and the crossbar and the ground?

Trying very hard not to be angry at every fucking thing. So watched 2nd episode Taskmaster Polska tonight on TVN. Again, not understanding a thing I still very much enjoyed it. Love the taskmaster and his assistant. Big names here I believe. Tonight we saw the exotic sandwich task. Yum!

Watched the first episode of Taskmaster Polska tonight. My Polish is piss poor so no idea what was being said but loved the show. The taskmaster and assistant relationship looks like it'll be fun. Looking forward to next week!

Why are schools still kitting out IT rooms/labs with Microslop Windows? And no, going MacOS isn't a better solution.

Have started a new job and am trying to be positive about it, though as I've expanded my teaching down into primary and teaching every year group to the end of a level all I can think is "report time will be hell!" Leadership seems ok though and school seems nice enough.

I cannot begin to count the amount of technology tools I have been told in the last 20 years that I need to teach my students how to use because they were the future. 95% of them are gone. A tool is a tool.

Why is it that when it comes to 'fixing' issues that effect most people, with those further down in the bullshit societal pyramid usually hit hardest, the result usually involves lots of convoluted ideas of programmes and initiatives and little money.

Fucking hell, the football club has finally revealed the new shirt. First - a fucking gambling company as the sponsor?! Fuck off! May as well be sponsored by Sullivan's Sport. Second - it took how long to design that shirt? It really seems like it's someone's last minute project!

Ah to have the confidence of this. Plenty of people don't have a window to stick a window unit in. I can't use my portable AC in the bedroom as we only have a double door, where as the living room has sliding windows.

Was thinking how when I began teaching I frequently taught a unit specifically on "information accuracy, reliability and bias". Wonder how that's been taught in the UK now, especially with things having changed over the last 2 decades.
