My Dan Dare discoveries are coinciding with reading more of Jet-Ace Logan and I'm really struck by what a contrasting character he is. Compared to the clean-cut heroism of Dare, Logan is a prick. Probably everything you'll read in this ghost story is true. The canal bank that's constantly at risk of flooding, the bridlepath across the canal, the war memorial dedicated to the tragedy that took place here. Why shouldn't there be a few restless spririts lurking around?

Just watching studio footage from The Young Ones episode 'Nasty', and... how haunted is this image?

Grainy tape footage of the living room set in The Young Ones. A clock at the bottom - 20:40:18:07 - tells us it's about twenty to nine in the evening, and the set is empty... except over on the right, Alexei Sayle is stood very still, dressed as a vampire, waiting for the next scene. He looks quite sinister already, but it doesn't help that the poor quality image renders his face a bit like one of the original Mondasian Cybermen.
