I have this incredible feeling of stability since deciding to quit drinking forever. I no longer am counting days or wondering if and when I will have a drink again. So freeing. My stability doesn't feel situational anymore. I just feel totally capable and in control of my life. Wild stuff.

Having the worst day because I had to eat a steak (got diagnosed with anemia) and go to a baseball game and noting how bad I am at being American. Fortunately, we missed the national anthem, so I didn't have to also refuse to stand for it, as I have not since age 13.
