I was asleep & she bolted under the bed to hide before I could grab her. (The space underneath the bed is so narrow that my carry-on size Pelican can't fit underneath it.) Dogs can do the most insane things when they're scared. I had to pull her out gently on her side, like delivering a breach baby.

I have this incredible feeling of stability since deciding to quit drinking forever. I no longer am counting days or wondering if and when I will have a drink again. So freeing. My stability doesn't feel situational anymore. I just feel totally capable and in control of my life. Wild stuff.
