My favorite band that hardly anyone has heard of: Winter Hours from Lyndhurst NJ put out 2 LPs and 4 EPs between 1983 & 1991. Singer Joe Marques died in 2003 and guitarist Michael Carlucci died in 2015. Guitarist Bob Perry still performs and records. #Musicsky www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX2S...

I had to give my friend @bryanborland.bsky.social special display space at the library for his excellent new collection Listen, Kid. And I don't think he'd mind being next to Queer Moderns. #LGBTQbooks #GayBooks #QueerBooks

It bugs me that that #Letterboxd lists movies that haven't been released yet. Keep them in a separate "in progress" category like imdb does. #Filmsky #JimJarmusch

I was today years old when I learned that Curt Bois, who plays the old storyteller in Wings of Desire, also played the pickpocket ("vipers everywhere") in Casablanca. #Filmsky #WingsOfDesire #Casablanca #CurtBois

I got to meet the legendary Oliver Lake today at my library, where the FLUX Quartet premiered a new composition of his. #Jazz #OliverLake

I want to know who classified Charles Mingus' "Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus" album as "ethnic folk-dance music." 🤔 #CharlesMingus #Jazz #Musicsky

Unless someone finds a print of The Mountain Eagle and An Elastic Affair (both are considered lost) this is as close as I'll ever come to seeing everything by Hitchcock. #AlfredHitchcock #Filmsky

Name a character you can't stand. I love The Dark Knight but I really hated Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent.

Hey #Filmsky people. Does anyone know where I can find Alfred Hitchcock's 1931 film "Mary" (the German-language version of "Murder")? I can't find it on YouTube and it doesn't seem to be included in any of the Early Hitchcock DVD sets. I really want to complete his filmography! #AlfredHitchcock

When Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ opened in 1988, I lined up at the Ziegfeld Theatre in NYC for it. A zealot got in my face saying I was going to hell for even thinking about seeing it. I said "Well, I may as well see it if I'm going to hell either way." That shut him up. #Filmsky
