15 years ago, in Brooklyn, my wife's $300 Trek was cable locked to a post, and my $2500 Rivendell Atlantis was cable locked to hers. Someone cut both locks to steal hers. It was a much less expensive lesson than it could have been.

I don’t see how that works. “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice”, and the “two years” is “of a term to which some other person was elected President”. It’s not as vague as “insurrection”.
