Big achievement in my hypermobility Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) journey — getting PIP braces! My fingers have always bent back like crazy, but now thanks to my occupational therapist they don't! I can already feel my hands being more stable and less inflamed. 🙌 Silver rings, here I come.

Every time we hear "The homeless people didn't use the resources we offered," the next questions should be "What specific resources did you offer? Were they actually meant to be helpful to people you claim to want to help? Did you offer actual shelter? Did it accommodate couples? Pets? Wet or dry?"

Had to say goodbye to my handsomest man Boris yesterday - congenital heart issues finally caught him at 11 y.o.. My younger cat is confused and my stomach hasn't settled. He did so well and my daughter was the sweetest with him to the end. Here's to you, you incredible cat man. Miss you always.

“Silly” is a good way to put it! There were excesses in 2020 but they were mostly low-stakes efforts by well-intentioned people to address real injustices. The excesses of the right during the same era were far more harmful. The reckoning we need now is about how elites lost sight of that.
