Starting with first trains Fri., Sept. 25, buses will replace Green Line trains between Raymond Ave. and Union Depot for maintenance. Allow extra travel time. Train service resumes Mon., Sept. 28. Route 94 is also available to Snelling Ave. and downtown Minneapolis.

📍 Uptown Transit Station: Large-scale portraits by Minneapolis artist Robert Harrison were recently installed on windows and doors as part of Metro Transit’s effort to beautify stations and deter vandalism through public art. The waiting areas remain closed.

This has been a big summer for our BRT lines, with record-setting monthly ridership on the Gold Line, Orange Line, and E Line. The B Line and D Line also had their second-busiest months ever this summer. Thank you for riding with us!

As we prepare to extend the METRO Green Line, we will be conducting a safety exercise at Shady Oak Station in Hopkins on Monday, Sept. 14. This exercise will bring emergency vehicles and responders to the station, but their presence is for training purposes only.

We’re installing new fare card readers at several METRO stations and on buses. Though they look different, they work the same: Simply tap your Go-To Card to pay. We’re testing new readers that will allow you to pay with a credit card or mobile wallet in 2027.

Transit has always been the best way to get to the Minnesota State Fair! From 1891 to 1952 a complex streetcar network ran in and out of the fairgrounds bringing thousands of visitors every day. You can still see the historic arch that trolleys would pass under.
