Currently trying to reconstruct all Germanic linguistics from scratch thanks to @jtauber.com . It is not going well for linguistics, but I'm having a lot of fun testing this out. I can't wait to play with Celtic if it is among your future plans.

I like that the Irish for 'tonight' is related to English's word, but not so with the Irish for 'night' – while the former (anocht) maintains the common Indo-European root for 'night', the latter (oíche) is of unknown origin beyond Old Irish.

Not exactly a surprising scenario. Bordering languages usually are related. So, more often than not, such linguistic “fratricide” go unnoticed even by native-speakers, as it only requires minor, but progressively substantial, changes in accent or lexical choice instead of sudden total shift.

Très honnêtement je pense qu'il y a volonté de prudence et que cela induit un peu en confusion : il s'agit d'un mur important, d'époque celtique, construit vraisemblablement, même si ce n'est pas explicitement dit, avec la technique du "murus gallicus" typique de l'époque de la Guerre des Gaules
