As you can see, I haven't ceased to work on Celtic data on @jtauber.com's Asterisk (though I had to take a break because of my real job 😭). I tried to incorporate as many rules I could find for the Gaelic branch but I'm still far off and I haven't touched orthography very much yet 💀

Still working on establishing a Celtic dataset for @jtauber.com's tool. I am going back and forth between Goidelic and Brythonic branches, trying to either find a rule that works and then backing up by reputable references or implementing rules from said references (especially on the Irish side).

Day 2 of experimentation I have taken the opportunity of the new workspace's tool "create family" to work on Celtic. So far, so good, I'm having fun and learning a bunch of things. Don't pay attention too much on the first reconstructions, those are mine and will be corrected.

Currently trying to reconstruct all Germanic linguistics from scratch thanks to @jtauber.com . It is not going well for linguistics, but I'm having a lot of fun testing this out. I can't wait to play with Celtic if it is among your future plans.

Maybe he is somewhat right, via something linked to Middle Welsh 'trefn' "room, house", but I can't explain the shifted meaning.
A picture of Matasovic Proto-Celtic dictionnary, reading :
*treba 'settlement' [Noun]
GOlD: Olr. treb [a f]
W: MW tref[f] 'town, dwelling-place', Tre- (in PN)
BRET: OBret. treff.i. urbs, MoBret. trev [f]
CO: Co. tre- (in Toponyms), tre 'house, village'
GAUL: Ambi-trebius [PN], Atrebates [Ethnonym]
CELTIB: Con-trebia, kon-terbia (A.75) [Toponym]
PIE: *treb- 'settlement' (IEW: 1090)
COGN: Go.jJaurp, Lith. trobil 'house'
SEE: *attreba 'settlement'
ETYM: Old Provencal trevar 'inhabit' is from the lost Gaulish verb of the
same meaning. MW trefn [m and f] 'room, house' can be derived from
PCelt. *trebno-.
